The inspection starts with locating your system components—tank, distribution box, and leach field. Many homeowners don’t even know where these are buried, which tells you something about maintenance history right there.
Next comes the visual assessment. Looking for obvious signs of trouble like standing water, unusual odors, or overly green grass over the drain field. These surface clues often point to bigger problems below ground.
The tank gets opened and pumped if needed so we can see inside. We’re checking liquid levels, looking for cracks or damage, and measuring sludge buildup. The distribution box and pipes get examined for clogs or breaks. Finally, we test the drain field to make sure it’s still processing wastewater properly instead of just letting it pool underground.
